digital pinhole

The project started at around 2005 with the first artist's smartphone which contained a camera with a narrow lens. This is how the Digital Pinhole project starter, the practical use of a narrow lens of a mobile camera. However, the first analog pinhole photograph was taken through the door hole too.

Capturing images of the corridor or staircase through the door hole (the viewing hole in a door otherwise called door viewer, peephole, aperture) with a narrow mobile camera lens. The hole is directional and protected by the lens, so the only one-way surveillance is possible. This examines the one-directional view from the private to public space, if we could call a corridor or staircase public, most likely semi-public. Various contexts were documented in particular places as site-specific art from traveled hotels, rented apartments, and own houses.
